MUMBAI: Pandya Store actress Simran Budharup was in a five year old relationship and she recently confirmed her break-up with boyfriend Aashutosh Semwal. The two broke-up a month ago and Simran opened up on how she is still coping with it emotionally.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Simran to know more about her relationship and how she is dealing with her emotions. Simran, in an exclusive chat with us, shared, “Well, it was a five year old relationship and I had been prolonging the break-up because I did not know how I would be able to cope up with the relationship which has lasted so long. I am a person who goes to extremes and I am battling depression and anxiety. But then I thought that it wouldn’t be fair to me, him or the relationship. The issues would still be the same and it would go on and on.

I try to fight emotions myself but when times are tough, I am blessed with extremely good friends who would stand by me even in the middle of the night.”

Now that Simran lives alone, she went on to say, “It is the both of us who made this place a home so everything reminds me of him. I have joined kathak classes and I practice my singing along with painting. I do not stay at home much and go out with friends or spend time with my family. “

Simran mentioned that though Aashutosh has moved out, she would be co-parenting their dog.

When asked if she would be okay to meet him often, Simran mentioned, “Right now, I am not okay with meeting him every week and I am sure even he isn’t. We have decided that his friend will be present when I go over to his place to pick up the dog and maybe later, if things are alright, we might be cordial. But right now, I cannot think about it at all.”

We asked Simran about the advice she would like to give people who go through such tough times.

The Pandya Store actress averred, “Everyone goes through this and my relationship ended with a lot of dignity and respect but there are cases where things get nasty. I understand that when one of the priority aspects in your life goes wrong, nothing seems right and things get out of control which eventually leads to self harm. But I would just say that try to keep yourself busy and once in a day, for 15 minutes just introspect and do not lie to yourself at that time. Talking to yourself will help you heal.”

We wish Simran and Aashutosh best of emotional, mental and physical wellbeing.
