Well, Amit's character has definitely spiced up the drama.

What kinds of roles do you wish to explore in your future projects as you have done films and TV shows? Also, are you open to doing web shows? What are your criteria?
Well, I think now a lot of things have changed in the last 4 to 5 years. And now, there is scope for different work with so many platforms. I have always played the nice guy hero kind of roles. Now I’ll be very interested in something challenging and intense. What many don’t know is that I love intense characters with shades. So, I am looking forward to something on those grounds. Of course, I’m open to OTT. There is such amazing content happening. I would love to explore it and I have even had a few meetings, let’s hope for the best.
Your character Raju from Khichdi is still fondly remembered by the fans. How did that show change your life?
Raju changed my life since it was my first big break. He was the only sane guy in the crazy Khichdi family. So, maybe that’s why he is so liked because, in a way, he is the one reacting to the crazy family members which was relatable with the fans. Raju will always be special to me. It gave me so much love and it was such a great experience to shoot with the beyond talented cast of Anjan ji, Supriyaji, Vandanaji, and Rajiv Mehta. There was so much to learn from them.
A dream role you wish to play on-screen?
There are so many but spontaneously they are not coming to mind. Right now, I want to play something intense. I am very impressed with Javier Bardem's performance in No Country For Old Men. He has played a psychopath so differently, it was very inspiring. In Hindi, I would love to play Amitabh Bachchan's character from Trishul.
