Apart from acting, are you currently also pursuing your studies? What are your future plans?

Definitely. I am currently in 11th standard and I'm pursuing my studies through open schooling. It is a really fun way to study. This way I can balance both my shoot timings and syllabus simultaneously. I plan on completing my graduation as well. I believe that as important as my career is for me, studying is too. My future plans include only and only acting. My work is my oxygen. I am head-strong about my acting career. Someone once said that if you have to think about a Plan B that means your Plan A wasn’t strong enough. Having another plan means that you’re giving yourself the chance to never accomplish Plan A. I never had and will never have a Plan B because acting is the only career I want to pursue. It’s my goal, I am passionate about it and it is exactly what I am going to achieve.

There is a lot of competition in the industry as a lot of talent is entering showbiz to make their career. Do you find it pressurizing? How do you deal with it?

A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it, it just blooms. There is always going to be competition in the world, not just in this career but everywhere around the world. There are going to be ups and downs, feelings and insecurities. But the best part of the competition is that through it we discover what we are capable of, and how much more we can do than we thought was ever possible. It pushes you to do better. To be better. And once we fall into the competition of success, there is no looking back. Success can be overwhelming. But, what keeps me grounded is the fact that I know whatever is meant for me will come to me. This helps me get a grip on reality and my thoughts. Being a part of this industry, I have to get used to the friendly banter because obviously, everyone wants to do better. Although, my competition will only remain with me. I wish to do better than what I have already done and keep polishing myself in this journey. I don't feel the need to compete or seek validation. I just have to perform and give my best in everything that I do. I have to work hard and not let negative energies catch hold of me. I will stay focused and keep working hard, everything that belongs to my life will make its way to me!

Social media is of utmost importance for every actor. How do you manage the usage of the same to make sure there is a fine balance between your personal and professional lives?

Everything you post will be a reflection of you. Social media is of utmost importance for every actor. How to balance both is in our hands but it isn’t something you find, it’s something you create. Nothing in excess is good. Being an actor, there are always going to be continuous tags and mentions, people awaiting your replies and reactions. There are going to be fans that have been waiting to talk to you. And I personally believe that interacting with all of them is very important. The audience is who makes us actors. When they see us on screen and appreciate us, that's when we get recognised as actors. The ones who make us who we are today, deserve all of the love we are capable of giving.

Being an actor, one may not always find the time to reply to each and every one of them. But as and when it is possible, I keep checking my social media, and I keep posting something or the other to show them that I genuinely care. I keep liking their posts and stories in which they have put in so much time and effort just to make me smile! As of now, I feel like I am balancing my work and my personal life very well.

The actress has previously done Zee TV's show Humari Waali Good News.
