MUMBAI: Ashi Singh has made place in the hearts of the audience within a very short span of time.

She has been seen in shows such as Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai and Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga and now, she is doing music videos. In an exclusive conversation with Ashi, we spoke to her about her career choices and the kind of roles she would like to pursue in the future.

You were quite nervous about your stint in Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga at first and but the audience accepted you and you got a phenomenal response from fans. Your comment.

Yes, I was very nervous and was aware of all the hatred I was going to get, so I was mentally prepared, but I did not expect people to accept me so well and so early. The fans accepted me within a span of three months and my character of Yasmin received as much love as they gave to my earlier character of Naina from Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai. So I am really glad and greatful.

Apart from music videos, what kind of projects and roles to we see you doing in future?

Honestly, I haven’t planned anything. I am trying to explore all platforms and find a character which is interesting and challenging at the same time. I have played two characters so far and they have been extremely different from one another. I attempt to explore different characters in the future too.

What about the web space? What kind of genres would you like to experiment?

Webseries really excite me and I would love to be a part of a thriller. It is something that I haven’t done and it is also not something which we watch in television shows regularly.

Are you open to performing bold scenes if necessary?

Not yet! I am not prepared for it not ready for it. If there is a really good concept and the role is tempting, I would give it a thought…but I do not think that at this point I am ready.
