MUMBAI: Sony SAB's popular cop-comedy Maddam Sir has been successfully running on the small screens for almost two years now.
The show stars Gulki Joshi, Yukti Kapoor, Bhavika Sharma, Sonali Naik, and Priyanshu Singh in pivotal roles.
Maddam Sir is a light-hearted cop-drama with a dash of comedy that leaves viewers delighted.
It not only makes the audience smile but also gives a great social message.
The two-year-long journey has been great for the entire team.
Team Maddam Sir recently completed 400 episodes, and it was indeed a happy occasion for each of them.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Yukti, who plays the role of Karishma Singh.
The talented actress has won everyone's hearts with her stellar performance.
Yukti spoke at length about her journey in the show and much more.
The show has achieved a milestone of completing 400 episodes. How has the journey been so far?
The journey has been like a rollercoaster because when Maddam Sir started, within a month, lockdown happened. It started again and there was a lockdown again. We came back again, so there were always ups and downs. But we always sustained. We were always stable. The show had a loyal audience who was always with us. The journey has been great, in which I have enjoyed and learnt a lot.
Tell us about the most unforgettable scene you have performed so far in the show which will always remain special to you.
Recently, Maddam Sir died and I had to come to the police station and tell everyone that Maddam Sir is no more. For me, right now, that scene is very close and unforgettable because I explore myself through scenes. I didn't know that I could perform in such a way or I could deliver my emotions in such a way. Everyone appreciated me and even I liked it.
One co-star of yours with whom you always look forward to performing scenes with and why?
I always look forward to performing with Gulki. Not just Gulki, but I look forward to doing scenes with everyone. Because my equation with everyone is very different. With Gulki, it is one on one. And with Sonali ji, it's saas-bahu banter. So that's what I look forward to.
