Fashion in television needs an overhaul - Madhura Naik

Tellywood fashion icon Madhura Naik who is known for her funky style statements at various red carpet events has recently launched her E-fashion label called Moulin along with best friend Dimple Belani. Talking about it, Madhura states, “Since I am very passionate about fashion and have already become a style icon because of the clothes I wear on various shows, I decided to extend my fashion statement to the world through Moulin.” On her tie-up with Dimple, she says, “Apart from the fact that I also have my TV assignments, Dimple and I have different ideas. So we will both fuse in our strengths. While I am very good in classical outfits, she loves to design grunge and rock & roll numbers.” Talking about marketing plans, Madhura avers, “We already have a Facebook page in place and our website will also go live in a short time. Once we have a dedicated customer base, we will think in terms of launching franchisee based stores as well.” “To begin with, we will have a new collection every month e.g. if we have Shiffons this month, with the festive season kicking in we might showcase a couture line with saris and traditional dresses next month. Moulin does not offer only clothes; we have an entire gamut of style services i.e. make up, accessories etc. We will also do full makeovers as well.” Here Madhura adds, “Fashion in TV needs an overhaul. There is lot to be explored here. Honestly I have not liked most costumes that I have worn on screen. Once our label is in place we will be talking to various producers and try to get contracts to design and style show costumes as well.” Coming to small screen actors’ personal dressing sense, Madhura likes Jennifer Winget’s outfits. “And of those who I don’t like, I will not name the person, but I will rather walk up to the person and give her my card.” We wish you all the luck for your new endeavour, Madhura!!!
