After the #IceBucket and #RiceBucket challenge, gear up for another fun filled celeb trend #FastForHer. And Tellychakkar.com has exclusive details on the same.
As the name suggests the task is for men to observe fast for their better half. And no points guessing that it is meant for the special occasion of Karwa Chauth.
On Twitter, we came across a video of charming actor Hiten Tejwani wherein he is seen pledging to observe fast for his wife Gauri Pradhan Tejwani. He further mentions that his wife has tolerated his awkward behaviour and love and supported him throughout. Hence as a token of appreciation he takes a pledge with his ‘whole heart and empty stomach’ to fast for her on 11 October, the day of Karwa Chauth.
Here’s the video:

We buzzed Hiten who quipped, “Well, it’s not usual practice for men to fast during Karwa Chauth, so when I got this opportunity I jumped to it to do a bit for my wife. It feels great to be a part of this trend and I hope more and more people join. Gauri was shocked but also happy to know about it but she very well knows that I can’t stay hungry so let’s see how it turns out.”
Hiten has also challenged good friends from the industry Yash Tonk, Karan Mehra (Pavitra Rishta fame) and Karan Patel to perform the challenge, when asked whether they will follow it, Hiten said, “I hope they do it or else I will post another video where I will tell people about how they all followed the ice bucket challenge, but are refraining from doing something for their wife. That should get them do it for sure (winks).”
(By the way Karan Patel is not married but he asks him to do it to get a good wife).
Also talented Varun Badola posted a video similar to Hiten pledging to fast for his wife Rajeshwari Sachdev. “The idea came from our close friend Anupam Mittal who contacted us to take part in the challenge. Not being a Punjabi I am not used to the rituals and I just cannot understand how someone can renounce food and water for someone even if it’s for a day. I have not allowed Raj (as he fondly calls his wife) to practice Karwa Chauth all along. But this year I hope to reciprocate her efforts and that can be my consolation for her to do such things for me.”

The actor has nominated friends Sohail Khan, Shabbir Ahluwalia and Anupam Bhattacharya for the same.
We must say it’s a super cool idea to pamper your wife. Let’s see how many more celebs join the fun.
