MUMBAI: Summer is here and the season demands some cool breezy hairstyles for every occasion. Celebrity makeup artist and hair specialist Florian Hurel one needs to take special care of their hair as summer means heat, sweat and pollution.
“I see things easy with hair. This is the time when we prefer creating a movement with the hair colour and less with the texture. We are focussing on simple hair styles. Out-of-bed look can do wonders this season. The less is more again,” says Hurel, who has weaved his magic over the likes of Sara Ali Khan, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Sonakshi Sinha, Janhvi Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, among others.
Moving on from hair, he also talks about how the makeup this season is different depending upon whether one is shooting in the day or at night. “The makeup depends on the kind of light available. We may accentuate the makeup in a darker light in order to have the line show better. This happens when we are shooting at night. In day light mostly everything looks good and nice, so the makeup is more subtle,” he adds.
Hurel is someone who is open to inputs and suggestions. It often happens that celebrities tell him the kind of look they prefer. “I do share my thoughts during every shoot that I am a part of. Celebrities have their opinion and thoughts, I always listen to them carefully and finally we reach a common ground. There’s no scope for disagreement. We are here to work together for the betterment of everyone. The person needs to look good and we all need to be on the same page to create something beautiful,” he concludes.
