This story is an attempt to create awareness amongst industry folks to be careful, cautious and be wary of lurking fraud individuals. Child actor turned Producer Vishal Lalwani called up Tellychakkar.com’s office and shared his ordeal. Yes, he did take a financial hit, but he via this article wanted to make other more strict and vigilant. Let’s hear him out: “I launched my production house and via that I started pitching for my shows. I hired an industry veteran and he promised me to connect to writer Amit Aryan. Amit is associated with FIR and is a renowned name in the industry. He kept on taking money from me stating that he has been pitching shows to SAB TV.” He continued: “One fine day I asked him to take me to meet Amit. We did go and meet but he brought in a fake person in the name of Aryan. I realized it later when I Googled and saw the pic of real Amit. I also called Amit and told him everything about the incident. He too was shocked. And this is when he suggested me to talk to the media.” Vishal requested us not to print the name of the conman for he did not want his career to go for a toss. “I don’t want him to face any legal hassle. I have spoken to him and he has been reprimanded a lot by me and my family. He has promised to return me the money. I just want everyone to know about my story and not get duped by any such con person in the future.” Point taken!!! Vishal has decided to take things in his stride and focus on his work. We also spoke to Amit who said, “Yes I spoke to Vishal and I told him to talk to the media to create awareness about it.” Well, this is one con story which should be a lesson for all!!!
