You are paired with Ankit in the show who is playing Arsh's character. He is quite senior to you age and experience wise. Did you have any apprehensions being paired opposite him?

I was signed before him so I did not know who my co-actor would be. But I don't think he looks that old. In fact, I came to know quite late that he is very experienced in the industry. So, I didn't even do any research. And I think age is just a number in this industry. I don't know how it has impacted my career. But then I was paired opposite Paras who was younger to me. I don't think age matters.

You're playing a grey character. How is the response on social media?

Luckily, I haven't got any negative comments on social media yet. Honestly, I don't care about negative comments. Somewhere people are really connected to the character that they are taking out so much time to get involved in it and comment on it. So, that's a good sign. I have played a grey character before as well and I always loved playing such characters. I wanted to break that monotony and not play the same roles. That was in my mind when this role was approached to me. Not that I had decided that I will do a grey character. But Ghum is a very good show doing well. Nothing is certain here, so I thought let me pick up whatever is coming my way. It all happened very quickly.

I was in talks for other shows also for a lead. But it was taking a while. And I already waited a lot. But this was a good role, I'll be seen playing a grey character. When I auditioned for it, I knew I could do a lot of things with this character.

The festive season has kickstarted and also your birthday is round the corner. So, how are you going to celebrate it?

I haven't planned anything yet for my birthday. We'll see how it goes.

Have you seen any major changes in your character or is it still developing according to you?

I think it is still developing and that's a good part about it. I haven't noticed any major changes. My character is still developing and the makers are also in the talks on how to take it forward. There is nothing certain. But I am keeping my fingers crossed that in the future hopefully my character will be more meaty.

Stay tuned to TellyChakkar for all the latest updates.
