MUMBAI: There are a lot of rumors that Shakti Arora plays Ishaan, the male lead protagonist in the show, and will soon leave Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. The existing cast of GHKPM, except Bhavika Sharma, is reportedly being asked to leave the program because the network and the show's makers believe that a new plot and cast of actors might increase the TRP. The speculations that Abhishek Nigam will be showing up in Shakti Arora and Bhavika Sharma’s show are baseless as he will be featured in Pukaar - Dil Se Dil Tak, a television show that also stars Sayli Salunkhe and Anushka Merchande. He is going to play Sagar. It seems impossible that he will appear in another television program, particularly as the male lead protagonist, given the prominent role he now plays in another. In essence, the video featuring Abhishek and Bhavika acting out a scenario is an audition video that Abhishek gave when the producers first introduced Leap and were looking for a male lead for Bhavika Sharma.

Although Abhishek Nigam was one of the top candidates, Shakti Arora ultimately bagged the role. In response to the video, Abhishek told the press that, while he did try out for Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin last year, the negotiations between him and the producers fell through. Additionally, he claims that while it is his responsibility as an actor to try out for good roles, the decision to choose is undoubtedly not in his control.
