MUMBAI : Dangal TV's newest drama series, Gudiya Rani, is set to launch soon for viewers. It sounds like a compelling mix of intense drama, emotions, and family dynamics.

The poignant program Gudiya Rani, which is produced by Bodhi Tree Multimedia, explores issues of sacrifice, identity, and the quest for freedom in great detail.

Developed by Bhavna Vyas and directed by Suraj Rao, the series narrates the touching story of 6-year-old Rani (Mahi Bhadra), who lives with her poor family in the remote interiors of Madhya Pradesh. As soon as rich kid Pari (Puvika Gupta) meets Rani, she is charmed by her quirky ways and wants to play with her. Rani agrees to become the living doll of Pari.

While the drama revolves around the concept of a father and daughter’s relationship, TellyChakkar spoke to Krip about his equation with his daughter in his personal life along with his take on crime against women.

Krip shared, “As a father I am someone who cannot bear if someone shouts at my child. My daughter does my make-up, styles my hair and does everything she wants to experiment with. I love her a lot and I feel blessed because I always prayed for a daughter. A daughter’s love is unconditional for her father and I am very lucky because the first word that she learnt was ‘Papa’. It was a very big thing for me and she is a daddy’s princess.

Luckily, I have bagged a show which narrates a tale of a father and daughter so I feel fortunate.”

When questioned about all that is happening in the country with girls with regards to the recent Kolkata rape case among other crimes, Krip opined, “These people should be shot dead after getting them in public. It is insensitive and disgusting that to fulfil your lust you engage in brutality against someone’s child. I understand the sentiment being a father of how other parents and their daughter’s might be going or gone through.”
