Gurmeet Choudhary's Jhalak party was a rocking affair; but Drashti Dhami was found missing

Click on the pic to view slideshow TV heartthrob Gurmeet Choudhary threw a long awaited party last night (31 October 2012) at a suburban watering hole to celebrate his victory in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 5. Gurmeet was at his gracious best welcoming all guests personally. Better half Debina Bonnerjee (looked stunning in a short dress) was seen milling around as a perfect host. The turnout was impressive. The Jhalak brigade was represented by Karan Wahi (looked chic in black) and his good friend and co- contestant Isha Sharvani. Rashmi Desai came in late. Gurmeet’s Jhalak partner in crime Shampa Sonthalia was also there. Most of the other choreographers (SalmanYusuff Khan) also made it a point to attend. Anchor Ragini Khanna walked in and was seen having a good time. We wonder why other contestants did not turn up, a case of sour grapes or what? Moving on… Debina’s SAB TV show Chidiya Ghar’s cast was there in full strength (Paresh Ganatra, Jeetu Shivhare and Sumit Arora. But they did not mix with the other guests. Producer-Director Ashwani Dhir also came despite being busy with his film Son of Sardaar set for release next week. Bigg Boss season 4 winner Vindoo Dara Singh entered with his sexy Russian wife Dina Umarova and was seen talking about how he expects Son of Sardaar (he is there in the cast as well) to beat SRK’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Rahul Mahajan refused to comment on the current season of Bigg Boss saying, “Nobody is watching it these days.” The very pretty Moonmoon Dutta (Babitaji) of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah was there but she was too engaged in a personal conversation with a couple of other guests. Karan Wahi was later seen to be having a very long intense conversion with Sushant Singh Rajput. Was he taking tips on shifting to films? Apurva Agnihotri is sporting a beard these days. He was accompanied as always with better half Shilpa Sakhlani. Jai Bhanushali and Mahie Vij were also seen joking with one and all. Jai also had a big moustache, he refused to explain why this new look. Karanveer Bohra and wifey Teejay Siddhu made a good impact on the dance floor. New love birds Abhinav Shukla and Sumona Chakravarti were enjoying some fun moments. Debina told us, “Sumona is our new bhabhi”, when she saw us talking to Abhinav and his flame. Vivian Dsena and fiancé Vahbbiz Dorabjee can never be missed from any small screen party, so they were there also. Conspicuous by her absence was Gurmeet’s co- star from Geet Drashti Dhami. His current co -star Kratika Sengar (Punar Vivah) was present though. The party raged on till wee hours of the morning and everyone had a great time catching up with industry friends.
