Gurmeet’s unfortunate tryst with the horse

Gurmeet Choudhry, who debuted on the tube with Ramayan and was recently seen in Pati Patni aur Woh with his fiancée Debina Bonnerjee, is these days learning the art of horse riding. Unfortunately, yesterday the actor had a nightmare while riding his horse as he fell on the floors and the horse too slipped and came down on him. Talking about the horrifying incident, Gurmeet said, “Yesterday was a very bad day for me as while riding I fell down not once but twice from the horse.” He elaborates, “Horse riding is not everyone’s cup of tea as the animal can be difficult to handle at times. While practicing I lost my balance and the horse too fell on me. I didn’t notice the wound on my knee which was despite wearing a knee cap. I sat on a second horse and fell again, that too from a slope. But by God’s grace I was not injured badly as I rolled on the ground and later landed in soil.” So is the actor back to horse riding again? Gurmeet laughs, “Yes. I visited the doctor yesterday who applied some ointment and dressed up the wound. However, today I found it difficult to ride as I was unable to get a good grip. But I still managed to practice and fortunately the day went smooth.” On inquiring whether it was his first tryst with the animal, Gurmeet said, “No, I have learnt horse riding before but now I wanted to pick up some stunt techniques. I am taking lessons from Mr. Moses who is an action director.” The actor who likes adventure is looking forward to participate in some reality show like Fear Factor. How did his fiancé Debina react to his injury? He says, “Even she is learning to ride with me. Yesterday after that incident, she went far away from my horse and was practicing alone. Initially she was sceptical about sitting on the horse but now she rides better than me.” Talking about the buzz of their wedding, Gurmeet declares, “Very soon we are going to announce the D-day. It will be sometime in December or next year. Our parents will be finalising the date soon.”
