Harbhajan Singh might be thinking that he is lucky enough not to be in Australia, where Team India is currently getting mauled. Well, we were just trying to take a dig at him. The “Turbanotar” of Indian cricket, Harbhajan is currently busy being the goodwill ambassador of Colors’ upcoming fiction show Ring Ka King. The reality series will hit the screens from 28 January 2012 every Saturday and Sunday at 8pm.
Furthermore, though a master of “doosra”, Harbhajan has always been sucker for wrestling. In fact, as a kid he used to demand for wrestling tapes from his grandfather.
“Before visiting my home, my grandfather would ask me what I would like to have as a gift. Instead of seeking sweets, toys or clothes, I would demand for wrestling tapes,” laughs Harbhajan.
Hmm…now we know why he has decided to be a part of the show. But he is still unclear about his screen space in the reality series. “I’ll be there whenever they (channel officials) need me,” he says. Furthermore, he also seems to be clueless about how much time he has to give to the show.
It seems bhajji is good with the ball but still has a long way to go when it comes to understanding the nature of the entertainment industry. The spinner has earlier participated and won Colors’ Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena and has also made a guest appearance in Star Plus’ Master Chef India 2.
Now before signing off, here are the names of some of the wrestlers (Indian and International) who will be seen in Ring Ka King: Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner, Monster Abyss, Matt Morgan, Bulldog Hart, Dr. Nicholas Dinsmore, American Adonis Chris Masters, Sonjay Dutt, Jimmy Rave, Zema Ion, Alissa Flash, Bollywood Boys and Outlaw Isaiah Cash, Mahabali Veera, Pagal Parinda and Shera.
Wow, looks at the names. It sounds great fun!!!
