From Harshita to Dharaa - A one night's tale...

Tamanna

Harshita ‘Veera’ Ojha is happy to have got into the limelight, playing a motivational character in Star Plus’ newly launched show, Tamanna (Ramesh Deo Productions).

As we know, she now essays the role of ‘Chhoti Dharaa’ in the show and is being appreciated by one and all.

However, the very first call time for the role came as a bit of surprise for Harshita and her parents.

Wondering why? Well, the casting of Harshita happened overnight, and her parents got a call of confirmation just a night prior to her call time.

Yes, you heard it right!!

In a conversation with Sanjay Ojha, father of Harshita we got to know this reality. The man said, “Yes, we got a call from Mr. Piyush Joshi, who heads the Casting department at Ramesh Deo Productions on a particular night, and immediately we were given our tickets for the next day’s journey via flight to Ahmedabad. For a second, we did not know what to do. Piyush was kind enough to explain the character and its intricate importance to us. And when we got to know of Waseem Sir (Sabir) helming the show as Director, there was no looking back at all.”

He continued, “Harshita’s mother immediately had to talk to the school authorities and get Harshita’s leave sanctioned for the next 15 days or so. We had very short time, but boarded the next day’s flight to shoot for Tamanna (smiles).”

From her father, we got to know that Harshita’s love for the game of cricket got bigger once she started to gel into the character. “She now wants to play cricket all the time. We have completed our work for Tamanna, and have created a bank. She was required to shoot for 15 days in Ahmedabad, and for 20 days in Mumbai. We have finished our part. However, even now, Harshita is happy playing cricket. At the outset, we want to thank everyone in the team, starting from the casting people to the director to everyone on the set in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. Harshita was taken care of very nicely, and was provided all that she wanted on the set.”

Coincidentally, Harshita celebrates her birthday tomorrow (10 February), and her father is delighted about the party he will be hosting for her school friends.

Three cheers, Harshita!! And wish you a very happy birthday in advance.
