Abhishek Sinha, Boogie Woogie Kids champion
Having won the kids dance championship of Boogie Woogie (R&N Productions) on Sony Entertainment Television, eleven-year old talented Abhishek Sinha is brimming with excitement. The boy from Jamshedpur spoke to Tellychakkar.com as he celebrated his victory with his family around him. “It’s such a happy moment for me and I am super excited. Having lapped up this trophy I am feeling on top of the world. Bahut mazaa aa raha hai. All my friends and relatives have been calling and wishing me; it’s such a great feeling. Not only that, everyone has invited me to their place once I reach home,” said an excited Abhishek. “Never in my dreams did I think that I had a chance to win. In fact, being a dance enthusiast, I wanted to be a part of the show to present my skills and challenge my capabilities. And winning the championship is indeed a big moment for me. All the top 5 contestants were superb and everybody had a great chance to win. Thankfully, I turned out to be the lucky one (smiles),” added the young boy. And to give away the trophy and the prize money to the champ was none other than the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. Sounding honoured, Abhishek quipped, “Amitabh Sir mentioned that his son’s name is also Abhishek. He is such a great actor and everyone I know happens to be his fan. Thus, I being presented my award by him was the biggest moment of my entire journey in Boogie Woogie.” The dance reality show was also a star-studded one with a rally of B-town celebs coming to encourage the young talents. Sharing his favourite moment, the boy recalled, “My favourite moment’s when Varun (Dhawan) bhaiya lifted me up and took me on stage. I also received a standing ovation from him after my performance. That moment has been etched in my memory forever (smiles).” And when we quizzed Abhishek on his favourite judge, he replied, “All the three judges were wonderful. Here I must also add that they have been very supportive and fair. When we did well, they complimented us and also made sure to mark out our mistakes whenever needed. Their comments and suggestions really worked well for all the participants.” And when we asked this seventh standard kid of his celebratory plans, he coolly observed, “Right now I have to get back with my studies. My exams are just round the corner and I want to completely focus on it. Post that, I’ll once again get into dancing and train myself to build up my career in the dance format.” We wish the young lad a great future!
