I am happy with my 'positive' character in Kalash: Shritama Mukherjee

Shritama Mukherjee

Chirpy and beautiful actress Shritama Mukherjee seems to be very happy these days. Wondering what the special reason is? Well the lady is all excited about her positive role in her ongoing show Kalash (Balaji Telefilms) on Life OK.

The talented lady is essaying the character of sweet, positive girl Sakshi, which is quite different from her previous characters.

Speaking about the same, Shritama commented, “I am very much happy to do a positive role after a long time. Mostly I have portrayed characters with grey shades and this one character is absolutely positive and optimistic. For a long time I wanted to play a simple, soft spoken na?ve girl but I guess makers believe that I am more suitable with grey characters. So, when I got this offer I quickly grabbed it.”

When we quizzed the actor whether sudden changes in the plot affect a performer or not, she quipped, “Speaking about myself, I am not much bothered with such things. I am very much confident about my performance and I believe that if I am doing a good job then surely others will notice. And certainly there are moments when our expectations are not fulfilled, but I prefer to focus more on my projects and try to do it better.”

Commenting about her equation with Aparna (Dixit) aka Devika, she said, “I have worked with Aparna earlier as well and have known each other from the time of my show Best Friends Forever. But unfortunately we were not in touch for some times now. So, when we met at the set of this show, we were glad to see each other.”

As the pretty girl enjoys her stint in Kalash, we wish her some more good time and luck.
