I am my babies’ radio jockey - Ashita Dhawan

A mother's arms are made of tenderness and children sleep soundly in them.- Victor Hugo (poet and novelist) When a pretty Ashita Dhawan (who has acted in shows like Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai and Baba Aiso Var Dhoondo) was with her husband Sailesh Gulabani at her gynecologist’s clinic for her first ultrasound, her doctor was taken aback when she suddenly screamed out aloud. She had been informed that she was pregnant with twins. Though that alarms some mothers, it had doubled her joy which is why she had screamed out of exhilaration. Indeed, the night before the ultrasound she had told her husband that she would be overjoyed if she was to be my mom of twins. She could hardly believe that her wish had come true. She had planned a holiday in Bali with her husband. She joyfully cancelled it because of her pregnancy. Her friends lent her pregnancy books which she read from cover to cover. Her husband read all the books too and was a very caring spouse during pregnancy. He is a super dad as well. Before checking in at the hospital for a c-section she had gone to the temple to pray for a successful childbirth. Her son Arhmaan was born ten seconds before her daughter Amaira. When she heard her newborn babies cry for the first time she cried too. “I was in love with them immediately. I can hardly express in words how I had felt. God had made my wish come true.” She sings to her twins to cheer them up. “I am my babies’ radio jockey,” she says with a laugh. Her two bundles of joy are now five and a half months old. “Twins means double the happiness of motherhood and double the hugs and the kisses. Motherhood has taught me to be patient.
