It is rightly said that dance is the hidden soul of one’s body. And now the former cricketer Sreesanth who was accused of being involved in the spot fixing of 2013 Indian Premier League, gets a chance to change track and showcase his dancing abilities, something that will take him closer to bagging a role in Bollywood.
Sreesanth will now be seen exhibiting various styles of dance on the dance floor of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 7 (Colors). He will be tutored by Sneha Kapoor, who won hearts of many with her celebrity partner Rithvik Dhanjani in the fifth season. In spite of her leg injury that she sustained due to an unfortunate accident, she still wants to head out triumphant along with her dance partner Sreesanth.
Sneha talked to Tellychakkar.com about the winning strategies that she has planned along with Sreesanth. “As of now our strategy behind winning is to work hard and make Sreesanth work harder, at the same time to enjoy the journey and live the moment of jazz and glamour. I think that’s when you are truly taking dance in its very true spirit.”
Being a sportsman he certainly faces some serious health issues but will it take a toll on his performance this season?
Sreesanth quipped saying, “I have always tried and stayed fit; I don’t want my health issues to become a clear excuse for not performing well. Nothing has ever stopped me from playing well on the field of cricket and so nothing is going to stop me from giving my best here. I may come across lots of injuries but that doesn’t mean I am weak. There have been times when I have sustained horrible injuries which made me go through pain and I think it brings the best out of me.”
For the very first time, Jhalak has a unique combination of contestants ranging from a very popular singer, VJ, comedian to a television actor. On what basis will the audience judge the real dance factor; is it influence or hard work, we asked Sreesanth. “I think the personality of a person and the way you carry yourself matters. More than the technique, it will be the dance performance on the field that will be judged. Most importantly there should be chemistry between the pair on the dance platform.”
Sneha Kapoor resolved saying that Sreesanth does have all the qualities that a dancer should possess. Well in that case Sreesanth should be absolutely comfortable being in the shoes of a dancer. Sneha straightened out saying, “The best quality in a dancer is the drive to be the best amongst the rest. Keeping your own strengths and weaknesses in mind you can achieve heights of perfection. Since Sreesanth comes from the background of playing cricket, he has good stamina which is required for dancing. He also has the quality of putting his heart, soul, mind and body to work beyond his limits. I couldn’t have asked for more in a partner this season. I am very happy and lucky to have Sreesanth as a dance partner.”
May you do well, Sree and Sneha!!
