Hey, good news for all the gourmets here!
The talented Bong actor Biswanath Basu, who not only entertains us with his funny lines but also woos us with his acting prowess, will be exhibiting his culinary skills in Aakash Aath’s Radhuni today evening (30 January).
Yes readers, you heard it right.
The actor, who essayed key roles in flicks like Ashchorjyo Prodeep, Shudhu Tomari Jonyo and Ami Aar Amar Girlfriends, will be sharing tips on how to prepare ‘Badshahi Motton Badami Korma’.
Yummy!
And interestingly Basu is someone, who doesn’t really like cooking. He, in fact, keeps himself away from the kitchen.
Curious to know more about his culinary skills, when we buzzed the actor, he shared, “I have no interest in cooking. I don’t even like boiling water. However, owing to my profession, I get to learn to prepare various dishes. I have almost been part of more than a 100 cookery shows till now.”
So, what made you zero in on this particular dish? “I wanted to cook a mutton dish. It took an hour to learn the nitty-gritty of preparing Badshahi Motton Badami Korma,” he said.
The notion that ‘cooking is only the task of women’ has now changed. Men, too are taking cooking seriously and interestingly it is said that women find men most sexy when they're working in the kitchen. What’s your take on that?
“Cooking is a colourful art. And men have stepped into the kitchen long back. The concept of Thakur and Maharaj was always there in our society. Interestingly, Sanjeev Kapoor, who is the best cook of India, is also a man,” he opined.
He added saying, “Also, many of my male friends like Mithun (Chakraborty), Babul (Supriyo), Kharaj (Mukherjee) are superb cooks. Although being a big foodie, I couldn’t grow interest in cooking. I really envy them.”
Aww!!!
Catch this foodie cooking the delicious dish today at 6 pm in Aakash Aath.
