I made a mistake of refusing offers after I exited Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki - Reena Kapoor

Reena Kapoor, better known as Sahara One’s lead face in the popular show Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki is back on the small screen. This time she will host an astrology show called Greh Nakshatra on Big Magic Bihar and Jharkhand. “I will not call this as my comeback show, because I chose this project as it does not take too much of my time (maximum 5 days a month). And this enables me to have enough dates on my plate to grab a big show, if it does come my way.” Talking about the concept of Greh Nakshatra which starts from 7 October (Mon- Friday 8 am), she says, “I will be talking to a well known astrologer on the importance of stars and many aspects of this science (like why women put sindoor on their foreheads and wear bangles), which lay people don’t know about. I was always interested in astrology, yoga and other aspects of Hindu religion and culture; hence I signed the dotted line.” Personally speaking, Reena does not believe too much in astrology. “I think karma (as you sow, so shall you reap) rules the world. Interventions like reciting shlokas which we also teach in the show might help reduce the burden of harm, but cannot change the course of your destiny,” she reasons out. On her life post Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, Reena states, “Firstly after I exited this long drawn show, I took a yearlong sabbatical during which I and my husband went globetrotting.” “On my return, I guess I made a mistake of refusing scripts which I thought were not juicy enough. Consequently offers started to dry up,” she confides in us. Now the good-looking actress again hopes that something good will come along starting with Greh Nakshatra. On the type of characters she would like to play around with, Reena says, “After playing a positive romantic character, I would also love to dabble with mature and grayish characters, but not outright negative avatars.” Here Reena does admit that her five year long absence might have affected her chances of getting back into the TV groove. “Out of sight is indeed out of mind. However, this break through Greh Nakshatra might help erase the Rani/Pari (names of characters in Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki) image in the audiences’ minds and give me a second chance.” Welcome back, Reena!!!
