Ashwini Dheer’s Lapataganj on SAB TV is treading on the road to success. Recently, the rib-tickler completed 500 episodes and Rohitash Gaud, who plays the character of Mukundi Lal Gupta, is super kicked about it. “Mein bahut khush hun. I never thought that the show will ever touch the landmark of 500 episodes. It is encouraging as well surprising,” says Rohitash. And why does he say it is surprising? “See, the show has a beautiful storyline and has some of the finest actors. But our viewers have gotten used to watching saas bahu soaps. So I thought Lapataganj would last max to max for three months,” adds Rohitash. And then he continues to say that the response has been very overwhelming. “Now, I salute the janta of this country. They can do wonders at times. They not only accepted the show but absolutely loved it. It is a great change and I am sure that in the year 2012 people will get to see big changes in terms of television content.” Finally, he bids adieu by thanking all his fans, “Unhi ke baje se hum hain. Their love motivates us to work harder and touch greater professional heights. I want to thank everyone for accepting Lapataganj and helping it to become a great success.” Keep up the good work, Rohitash!!!
