I tried my luck in Bollywood but failed - Nikhil Roy

Nikhil Roy enchanted the audiences with his enigmatic performances in shows like Miilee, Bhabhi, Radha Ki Betiyaan Kuchh Kar Dikhayengi, Bhaskar Bharati and several others at the time when he started out in showbiz. But little would people know that his aspirations never lied in the world of entertainment. With him being missing from the television screens from more than three years now, he is back again to put his skills to test. But what was he doing all this while? Let’s hear it from the actor himself. Said Nikhil, “Actually, I was a mechanical engineering student and I came to Mumbai to meet a close friend. But when I was applauded for my appearance, I thought of giving it a try in television shows and from there on I never stopped auditioning or getting offers till my last stint in Bhaskar Bharti.” “The reason I quit television is because I thought of trying in Bollywood. I tried hard but to get a role in a movie but failed as Bollywood is not only tedious but also requires a lot of patience. I waited for two years for a project which I hoped would materialize but unfortunately it did not.” Hmm…the world of glitz and glamour is definitely something not easy to survive in! Now that the handsome man is back trying to gain footing in television with an episodic role in Fireworks Productions’ CID (Sony TV), we asked him about his future plans. Elaborating on the same, he said, “I am looking forward to daily soaps and I am up for any role which is challenging enough for me as an actor.” Bidding adieu on that note he highlighted, “One thing the industry has taught me is to be grounded, patient and be a good human being.“ Welcome back Nikhil.
