Parineeta Borthakur, who is currently essaying the role of a modern, independent, strong Bong woman in her show Swaragini (Rashmi Sharma Productions), mentioned how she likes to play such strong characters on screen.
A mother of three year old kid, the beautiful lady spoke to us about her thoughts on women characters on television.
“At a point of time, women were portrayed in a typical fashion, where they used to fall victims of situations and all they possibly could do is to cry. But I feel now we have moved on from that conventional portrayal of woman”.
“Even the characters that we are playing today are much strong and independent. Honestly speaking I don’t think that I will ever opt for playing the role of a ‘bechari’ kind of woman, rather I will go for a strong, individualistic character”, added Parineeta.
The lady, who is also a strong individual in her real life, claims herself to be practically dependent on her husband.
“Though I am very strong emotionally and also strong as a mother, I cannot handle much practical situations, for all those I need to depend on my husband. The regular jobs related to household like banking issues or payments of electricity bill are all done by my husband”.
A mother of a three year old son, Parineeta however manages to find time for her little one even while she is shooting and takes him to outdoor locations to spend quality time.
No doubt this woman is surely doing a great job as she is successfully balancing her career and family life. Now, that’s what we call a real strong woman.
