MUMBAI: Amar Upadhyay, who contracted COVID this very year, says he has learned himself to switch off and switch on his mindsets while shooting a daily during the COVID 19 crisis. Amar questions, "It has been a very challenging time but one can not be too scared. As an actor, even though I am taking utmost precautions, when I start shooting the scene, I have to remove my mask, and so I do get exposed. But agar ab itna sochengey toh kaam kaise karengey. The moment I start shooting for the serial, I switch off completely from the outer world and just do my job. I can't be thinking about things happening around us all the time. I just concentrate on my work. If I keep thinking about the fear of contracting COVID when will I act?"

He adds, "I had COVID in March this year though I was asymptomatic. However, I think I ate some unnecessary medicines during that time which pulled me down after I recovered but thankfully I had no other symptoms of COVID. I am now waiting for my vaccination to be done as I couldn't take it because I had contracted COVID and then recently I had knee surgery so I couldn't take it then. I will now be getting jabbed soon."
Amar is currently spotted the popular show namely Molkki (BCCL)
The Kalash actor says he feels blessed to have been working during this time, he feels lucky for the same. "I was not working when the first wave of the pandemic had hit us and I got really mad sitting at home and doing nothing. But I am thankful to God that I am working throughout the second wave. I have kept myself really busy with work so that I have no time to think about what is going around me," he said.
The Saath Nibhaana Saathiya actor spells that he was once demotivated in his life when his films didn't work at the Box Office and he had quit a show like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi for the same very reason ."Of course, I was demotivated at times. I am not from an acting background. I made a few wrong decisions wherein I chose some projects which did not do well. The projects I would not say were wrong as they seemed right at that point in time, but now I feel I wish I could have waited more and been a bit more patient. Mihir as a character In Kyunki...was big. I feel I shouldn't have gotten desperate to do films after Kyunki. The cast and the banners which I was offered during Kyunki days were too big. I didn't have a father who would have financed a film for me," he shared, sharing, "I was doing three serials as lead at that time plus I had signed on so many films but I couldn't manage my dates. I wish I had someone to guide me on how to go about in the industry, then things would have been really different for me."
Amar, who was placed in Lucknow recently for shoot purposes for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 with Akshay Kumar shares, "I am happy that I am shooting a film with Akshay Kumar. I really admire that person a lot. His fitness levels, the way he handles his career -- all are commendable. During our first visit, I couldn't get much time to see Lucknow as we were shooting away from the city. But I will soon be coming back there again and hope to see it properly this time," he quoted.
