“I wish my friend Neil Bhatt and the entire cast of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ all the best as they embark on an exciting new journey” says actor Deepika Singh

MUMBAI: Deepika Singh popularly known amongst the audience for her role as IPS officer Sandhya Rathi will now be seen donning the police uniform & character once again. Yes, you heard it right. But this time she will be supporting her friend, colleague and talented actor Neil Bhatt who will be seen essaying the role of an IPS officer in his upcoming show ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’. Coincidently, the two actors have been seen playing the role of an IPS officers in the famous show ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ which came on Star Plus few years ago. Talented actress Deepika Singh recently shot a promo for the upcoming show in which she introduces Neil Bhatt as the IPS officer who is torn between his love and duty.

Glad to introduce Neil Bhatt as IPS officer on TV, Deepika Singh, says, “Sandhya Rathi became a household name across the nation and till today I feel proud & grateful for receiving this immense love & recognition from the audience and my fans. For the first time on Indian television, a girl harbored a dream of becoming an IPS officer and stuck the right chord with the old and young generation. Honestly, I can’t believe it's been 9 years since Diya Aur Baati Hum aired on TV. It's been one memorable ride since then and I will always be grateful to Star Plus, mu co-stars, and all of my fans since then for playing a major role in my journey till now. I am privileged to don this character & my uniform once again after so many years but this time around, I will be supporting my friend, colleague, and talented actor Neil Bhatt who plays IPS officer Virat Chavan in his upcoming show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. In DABH, my character faces the test of choosing between her family and her responsibilities as a housewife & as a Bahu, similarly Virat will have torn between his duty and love. Shooting for this promo not only reminded me of my bond with Neil but also brought back the good memories of playing IPS officer Sandhya Rathi. I wish Neil, the entire cast and crew the best as they embark on this exciting new journey. I am positive Neil and the entire team will do well.”

Produced by Cockcrow & Shaika Entertainment the show revolves around a triangular love story and is the remake of the super-hit Bengali show ‘Kusum Dola’. The show stars Neil Bhatt, Ayesha Singh and Aishwarya Sharma in the lead roles and will go on air from 5th October on the channel. It also features popular actors like Kishori Shahane, Sanjay Narvekar, Milind Pathak and Shailesh Datar in pivotal roles.
