MUMBAI : 1.How has it been getting back on sets of Mangal Lakshmi?

I am ecstatic about being back on the sets. I couldn't have asked for a better comeback. Other commitments had kept me busy for the last 6 years, but now I am back doing what I love the most.

2. What made you take up this show ?

I think I was destined to do this show. Everything fell in place smoothly. I am getting an opportunity to play an Anti Hero, a character that I have never done before as I have always been the good mamma’s boy in all my shows. Colors is a great channel to work with. The makers Panorama are seasoned & experienced makers. What else can I ask for? Working with the best in the business. 

3. You have been choosy about your projects. Do you have any on OTT as well?

Well I did one show on OTT as an actor called FLIP on Eros Now, which critics called the “black mirror” of India. Post that I got busy with producing shows & developing shows on OTT.

4. Being in the industry you have always maintained a low profile. Don’t you think that is a take away considering as an actor you need to be there all the time?

I am a shy guy and an extremely introverted person and that's the reason I have always maintained a low profile. But now I have realized the power of marketing, PR and being out there and from this show I will be more forthcoming. 

5. How is your professional equation with Deepika Singh?

Oh we have a great equation. She is a sweetheart. People are going to  fall in love with her in Mangal Lakshmi. She is a fabulous Actor. 

6. How close is this character to you in real life ?

Ha ha ha ( can’t stop laughing) The character is not at all close to me. In fact, it's totally opposite to my real life. I would be thrown out of the house if I behaved anywhere close to the character I play in the show.

7. We hear you are also looking into production seriously. Please tell us a little about that as well.

I love this industry. I have always been intrigued by the various aspects of filmmaking not just in front of the camera but also behind it. That prompted me to get into production. Today I am much more secure financially & mentally knowing that I have a back up. Yes we have already produced a couple of films & good shows for Ott for Bejoy Nambiar, Mani Ratnam, and T series. I love the whole process of filmmaking. Creatively I am inclined towards it.
