Five weeks back, when Karan Mehra walked into the Bigg Boss 10 house, little did people realise that he would be the first celeb to be evicted.

Stating that his elimination is being termed ‘unfair’ by his fans, the dashing and talented actor got talking with us post his exit from the Colors and Endemol show.

“I am amazed and honoured with the love that fans have been showering on me. And they are highly disappointed with my untimely exit. And as I have been informed, creatives took into account voting and a person’s performance for my elimination, which is unique. I have been told that I got maximum votes but due to the ‘performance’ twist, I got out. I have no regrets as I enjoyed my experience; am only saddened over my fans’ disappointment,” said the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor.

Karan, who feels that the Indiawale are taking undue advantage of the opportunity, stated, “I do not think any commoners behave like the Indiawale. They keep on fighting, abusing and are there to just put the celebs down. The celebrities on their part were a humble lot who worked hard and never created any controversies for the sake of it. But I guess that’s what’s working for them. The format was a very interesting one and I readily agreed as I was told that I could be myself.  But I am surprised that even though we were so hardworking; we were given tags like ‘boring’ and ‘lethargic’.”

Adding that they always took a stand against ‘unfair’ behavior or activity, he said, “When there is a group of people who keep fighting among themselves and then makeup again, how can you go and interfere in their personal equations? We would have looked like a fool. Yes, but I understood the point that Salman Khan made about not being firm on Swami Om, when he spoke ill about a girl.”

Rooting for Gaurav Chopraa and Rohan Mehra, Karan hopes that either of the two wins the show. “Although everyone participates in the show to win, I am proud of myself that I managed to maintain my respect throughout. And I am sure people will know who the real Karan is and love me more for being real.”

Sharing his funny conversation with wife Nisha post his eviction, Karan quipped, “I rang her up from Lonavla to wish on her birthday and she said ‘who’s this?’ When I told her that she has forgotten me in 35 days, she shrieked in joy that I was out but was shocked too (laughs).”

Best of luck Karan for your future endeavours.
