MUMBAI: At the Indian Telly Awards 2025, the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah team lit up the event with their charm and infectious smiles. The team bagged several awards, with the show’s face, Dilip Joshi, also taking home a prestigious honour. TellyChakkar got the rare chance to interact with the much-loved actor, and we couldn’t resist asking him about the recent buzz regarding his exit from the show.
Dismissing the rumors, Dilip Joshi clarified, "I was out of town for a few days and, as a result, wasn’t seen in a few episodes. That’s probably why people began speculating about my exit. I don’t know why such news spreads on social media. Having said that, I am back on set and shooting for the show. I will continue to be a part of it for as long as it remains on air."

At Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's 17 years celebration event, Joshi was asked the same question and he gave an elaborated response. He said, "He added, "In today’s fast-paced world, where people rarely have time for one another, it’s heartwarming to see how their eyes light up with joy when they see me. That’s a blessing in itself. God has been incredibly kind to me by giving me this opportunity. Toh isko thukrake kaha jaayege. Phir toh bewakooki hojayegi agar isko thukra k jaayege toh (How can I possibly turn it down? Walking away from this would be nothing short of foolishness)."
