MUMBAI: Bhumika Gurung, who became a household name with the show 'Nimki Mukhiya,' tied the nuptial knot with her restaurateur boyfriend Shekhar Malhotra in a beautiful Gurdwara wedding in Mumbai on March 08, 2022. Bhumika had an intimate wedding ceremony, which was attended by family members and close friends. Bhumika wore a beautiful ensemble in olive green, whereas the groom Shekhar also matched his outfit with the bride.

Now, the actress revealed that she is in a very happy space. She says, “Shekhar and I were in a live-in relationship for a year, so we were living like husband and wife. It's just that now we are officially each other’s spouse. It is a happy feeling. I am blessed with amazing in-laws and everything just seems to have fall into place. The only change which I can say is that I feel a strong sense of responsibility after getting married.”

Meanwhile, their honeymoon has been delayed, but she says, “Shekhar and I have travelled a lot. I am not saying that we don't need a honeymoon, but it can wait. He has a lot on his plate right now and I too want to start work again. I have spent a lot of time planning my wedding, and now, all I want to do is work. Little collaborations and events keep happening, but I have to do something really good now.”

She had earlier said that she wouldn’t have imagined getting better in-laws than Shekhar’s family. “The family that I am getting into is very loving. The way they have accepted me and welcomed me in their lives is heart-warming. They make me feel like their daughter,” she said.
