Rachana Mistry, who essays the role of Jagriti in Jagriti-Ek Nayi Subah said, “Dance has been with me since I was a little girl—twirling in my mom’s dupatta, pretending the living room was a grand stage. I still remember my first performance at school—my knees trembling, heart racing, but everything else disappeared when the music started. That feeling never left me. Whether I’m prepping for a role, unwinding after a long day on set, or just lost in music at 2 a.m., dance is where I find myself. It’s more than just movement—it’s therapy, it’s joy, it’s my escape. On International Dance Day, I’m reminded of every bruised toe, every sore muscle, every burst of laughter in rehearsals, and every tear that’s ever fallen mid-routine. And I wouldn’t trade a single moment. To everyone out there dancing their heart out, keep going. The world always needs more rhythm, more passion, more of you.”
