MUMBAI: Teachers' Day is a special occasion that honors the guiding lights in our lives, the teachers who shape our minds, nurture our potential, and inspire us to reach for our dreams. It's a day to reflect on the profound impact educators have, not just in the classroom, but in the broader journey of life. Actress Siddhi Sharma who is playing the role of Gulki in the Sun Neo’s show ‘Ishq Jabariya’ shared her cherished memories and reflected on the profound importance of the teachers in her life.
She says, "Teacher's Day is special to me because it's a day to celebrate our teachers. It's a time to appreciate all the hard work, sacrifices, and effort they put into helping us. The most important lesson I've learned from a teacher is to always move forward. I remember when I was in school, I didn't do well on a unit test, even though I usually did well. I was so upset that I started crying in front of everyone. My teacher came over and told me that it was just one test and things would get better. She encouraged me to focus on improving next time and reminded me that things change. This taught me to always look ahead and not get stuck in the past."
She added, "In my professional life, one of my co-actors gave me great advice: every character has its own story and importance, so never be afraid to take on any role. Always give your best because every character matters. This advice has been very meaningful to me. I've learned a lot from everyone on set, including co-stars and crew members. Each person has something to teach through their work, behavior, and how they handle stress. I pay attention and learn from everyone around me. If I could thank one teacher today, it would be Dr. Ami Bora, my college principal. She’s an incredible theater artist and a very influential person. She taught me so much in college and inspired me with her positive energy. She encouraged me to pursue acting and pushed me to participate in college competitions, which helped shape my career."
