MUMBAI:Lakshay Khurana is a talented artist.
In an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar, he got chatty about his character in Ishq Jabariya, which will air on Sun NEO.
Lakshay shared, “There are a lot of preparations which go into making every character. It is not an easy task and some thought has to be put into it. If the role is romantic, I do not have too much of a problem as I have recently got married (smiles). We have to put more working hours in the show and balancing it with the personal life is a little difficult but nothing comes above career and my wife understands that. She is also working and we manage to have some romantic sweet conversations and some quality time when not shooting.”
Speaking about balancing personal and professional life, he added, “The thing is that when I am shooting, I get carried away into my character. I do not allow myself any distractions when I am shooting. Till the time I am working I will not touch my phone and my wife also complains about this. I am trying to work on it (laughs).
Talking about the show, Lakshay said, “The concept is such that it has received criticism in the past but as an actor, it should not matter as we are just doing our jobs. I have received a lot of audience hatred in my last show. It was because of the character in the negative role that I was playing and I think that if I was hated that means I did a good job. It did bother me to an extent but when I used to give my shot and people applauded, it felt good.”
