Other than these known faces Rajesh Balani and Ada who are from the advertising background will also be seen on the show. Sab creative head Chaaru says, " It doesn't come under the category of normal comedy shows. Ishq Ki Ghanti revolves around adult humour, has double meanings but of course is presented in a subtle manner." She continues, "It's one of its kind, till date none of the shows have been on these lines." On being asked about the shows acceptance by the Indian audience, she explains, "The audience will identify with the characters of the show. It's not only about adult humour, but it's also a family drama at the same time too." Priya Mishra, programming head, Sab, confirms that a sitcom is in the pipeline. "Ishq Ki Ghanti is the working title for the show. It will be on air from end of July," clarifies Mishra. Gaurav Gera, who will be seen playing one of the leads on the show says, " Well, I sign a comdey show again! The show is very daring, so either it will set a new trend or ....." Shubhavi who will play Rajesh Balani's wife is very excited about the project, as it will be a breather from her vampish look. "I play a religious woman on the show, you can't call me dumb, but I am too much into spirituality," states the actor. This will be the first series for Sonia Kapoor after Remix crossed its finish line. "Well, yes this is the first show in hand after Remix. I play the character of a glamorous Punjabi woman, other than that I am very strict with rules and discipline." She continues, "Asif Sheikh plays my henpecked husband, and it's a great combination - I am not strict in its literal sense, I would call it being strict in a funny manner!" This is great news for TV viewers who are hungry for some 'grown up stuff.' Sitcoms as a genre is hithertho unexplored on television and if the success of sex comedies on the big screen is something to go by, then the makers of Ishq...need not fret!
