It’s a literary time on SAB

After launching a show on the works of the literary giant (Taarak Mehta ka ooltah chashmah)SAB TV is now contemplating to honour another legendary writer – the late Sharad Joshi. The channel is in advanced talks with noted writer, director and producer Ashvini Dheer to produce a daily that is based on Joshi’s writings. Talking about the show, a source informs, “Ashvini Dheer has obtained rights for late Sharad Joshi’s writings. Talks with SAB are expected to finalise any time soon. This will be a daily show that is set against a rural background. The show is tentatively titled Sharm toh unko aati nahi magar. Each week there’ll be a new story. The cast isn’t finalised yet. But the same set of actors will be seen in every story.” When contacted, Neha Sharad, daughter of late Sharad Joshi said, “Yes, it’s true that Ashvini is contemplating a show based on my father’s writings. I don’t know anything else. The best person to answer is Mr.Dheer himself.” Meanwhile, Dheer had this to say, “I can’t confirm anything as we haven’t signed on the dotted line yet.’ We tried contacting SAB business head Anooj Kapoor and even sent him a text message but he didn’t respond.
