It is time to learn from the senior actors in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain - Yuvraj Thakur

Yuvraj Thakur, the lanky young lad is excited about his big break in Balaji Telefilms’ popular show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain on Sony Entertainment Television. Remembered for his successful commercial ads, especially the one with Shahid Kapoor for a Vaseline brand, this will be Yuvraj’s first break into the popular GEC. Earlier, the actor has been seen in Channel [V]’s Humse Hai Life and Best Friends Forever. Recently, he was seen making love with Anita Hassanandani in Bindass’ Yeh Hai Aashiqui. Now, Ii the post leap story of Bade Achhe, Yuvraj will essay the role of Sammy, son of Vikram (Jay Kalra) and Neha (Tarana Raja Kapoor). Talking about his role, Yuvraj tells Tellychakkar.com, “I am excited about the opportunity of being part of a big show like Bade Achhe. I have never worked with such senior actors before, and I would say it is time to learn from them (smiles). I am looking forward to shooting with Ram sir (Ram Kapoor) and Sakshi madam (Tanwar).” On his huge plunge into GEC from the youth centric channel, the actor states, “Bade Achhe is not a typical saas bahu drama. It is a soap drama, which now has a new angle of youth added to the story line. So I had to accept the role that was offered to me.” Ask him about media reports confirming that he was all set to play Kabir (a new character to be introduced in the show) earlier, and he explains, “Yes, I was to play Kabir. But Kabir was supposed to be the more mature one, with a grey shade. But I guess looking at the kiddish streak in me, the makers and creatives decided to cast me as Sammy instead. I am happy and excited to play Sammy.” On Sammy the character he plays, Yuvraj avers, “Well, he is a typical cool dude - a casanova who is confident, mischievous and playful. I watched the movie Cruel Intentions, especially the character of Ryan Phillippe, as Sammy is very much like him.” Yuvraj feels at home within the Balaji camp, especially because he has had a long association with few of them. “I have earlier worked with Vikas Gupta in Gumrah and Yeh Hai Aashiqui. I get along very well with Casting Director Piyush Joshi; our association dates back to the days of Dharma Productions’ Student of the Year where he had auditioned me for two parallel lead roles. He has a strong vision when it comes to casting actors for particular roles and I am glad that he found me apt to play Sammy. Also, I have earlier worked with Fenil Umrigar in Best Friends Forever. We share a very comfortable on and off-screen rapport. On the whole, I am blessed to be part of the Bade Achhe family. My aim is to better myself as an actor and also as an individual.” Yuvraj has started shooting for Bade Achhe, and his entry will be aired very soon. Wish you great days ahead, Yuvraj!!!
