Firstly congratulations Rituraj, did you expect to win? “The journey from Odisha to Mumbai has been very tough. I never thought of winning this show. Frankly speaking, for me, winning or losing didn’t really matter. My only motive was to perform well every time I went on stage.” Who supported you the most in your journey? “Actually there are a list of people who have supported me and has been with me throughout my journey. My family, Channel (Star Plus), crew members, host Gauahar Khan and my friends. Because of all of them I have never felt left out or demotivated.” What qualities supported you in winning the show? “May be my down to earth and never give up attitude helped me to sustain in the show.” Did you miss Honey Singh? “I missed him a lot. It feels sad that he was not part of my victory.” How was Himesh Reshammiya as a judge? “Himesh sir is a very positive and good human being. He has given me a chance to sing for any of his upcoming films.” Lastly, your take on Gauahar Khan’s bizarre slapgate incident? “It was a very shocking incident. I was busy with my preparation back stage and all of sudden I saw Gauahar ma’am crying and bouncers beating up the man. Later, I learnt about the entire incident, which was very awful. Gauahar is a very hardworking actress and has supported us a lot. I pray that she stays strong and firm.” All the best, Rituraj!
