It will always be a 'chatt mangni pat shaadi' for me - Karan Sharma

Karan Sharma
The good looking Karan Sharma who is seen playing the fun-loving Karan Modi on Sony TV’s Ekk Nayi Pehchaan (Jay Productions) is enjoying playing the character that has him paired opposite the popular Krystle D’souza. Talking about his character, the talented actor says, “Strangely, even though I am playing a character with my name, I don’t relate to it at all. I am this very simple guy in real life unlike the flamboyant and naughty role that I essay. I am someone who is close to his parents and has a close set of friends. I love being with them but then I am getting to play a character that is contrast to what I am, and that adds to the fun value of my work.” “Before shooting, I actually have to think how Karan will think and react; hence a lot of effort surely goes into playing this character. I have been one of those good boys in school and college and thus I am enjoying playing this naughty and irresponsible guy who just likes to have fun,” he avers. Karan’s character is shown to bow down to his parents’ decision of him having an arranged marriage. Ask him about his personal opinion on marriage, and he says, “Of course, see marriage is all about knowing your partner throughout your life and understand each other better. And arranged marriage gives you that chance to slowly know a stranger you have to live with all your life.” “In love marriages, there is a plus point wherein you know the person, but that can sometimes back fire and you may lose interest in the person after already spending a lot of time prior to marriage. And even if I fall in love and want to get married, I would do that in a short span of time. It will surely be a ‘chatt mangni pat shaadi’ (laughs) for me in that case,” says the handsome guy. And talking about his character in the show, he adds, “Right now he is just the dramebaaz naughty young guy who has got married to the girl forcefully. So they both are at the moment trying to just irritate each other and are seen fighting always. A lot will happen in the coming days that will bring across a change in him.” Nice thoughts, Karan!!!
