It's a dream come true for Tony Singh, popular RJ from London

Tony Singh

Tony Singh’s dreams have come true, as he makes his small screen debut with Zee TV’s period partition drama, Lajwanti (Trilogy Media) which launched this week.

Well, not all know that Tony has been a successful radio jockey in London, hosting their very popular show, The Breakfast Show. The guy with a hotel management degree from Southampton, London later joined his uncle in managing his night club. Simultaneously, his journey as an RJ began, wherein he became the favourite RJ of the South-Asian community, in London. Tony got famous as he was the only RJ in the place who could talk the languages, English, Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi.

After living a life of his own for nearly six and half years in London, Tony decided to move down to India, as he wanted to taste success before the camera as an actor.

However, lady luck brought him to the place where the auditions for Lajwanti were happening in Punjab. On seeing his great Punjabi vocabulary, the casting person out there immediately roped him into his list of favourites for the show.

And now, Tony Singh is all set to entertain one and all in his strong negative avatar in Lajwanti. He will play the role of Satvinder Singh, who hails from Punjab and is smitten in love with the female lead (Ankita Sharma). However, his bitchiness and troublesome nature will come to the fore when the love story of the girl with the male lead, Sid Makkar will take shape.

When contacted, Tony told Tellychakkar.com, “Yes, it is a dream come true for me. I have cast a magical spell on people by being behind the microphone, as an RJ in London. Now I am setting foot on a new journey as an actor. And I will want my talent to speak for myself. I have worked really hard on the role, and I hope for a good response from the audience.”

Get to see Tony in action in Lajwanti from tonight..We wish the young lad all the very best!!
