It's never too late to rediscover yourself says, Palash Dutta

MUMBAI: Tellychakkar is determined to bring to you stories that will substantiate your faith in the adage that ‘Commitment is the key’.This week we talk to Palash Dutta who started his journey 26 years ago as a model, went on to become a talent coordinator, and finally a producer. He recently acted and produced the short film “Silent Ties” starring Renuka Shahane which bagged 15 awards and various nominations.

Throughout his journey, people have tried to put the artist’s capabilities to perform different characters in a closed box. Though he proclaims himself as an Imageless Character and stresses that an actor shouldn’t be boxed by his sexuality or gender. He further questions “why does it take a National Awardee Neena Gupta to post on social media to remind people of her existence? I want people to know that I am a craftsman, see my craft and don't judge me by my outlook,I can be a versatile actor’’. We ask him what keeps him going and he is quick to say” I have been discouraged by my friends to change over but I entered this industry because acting is my passion and I shall pursue it at all costs”

In a candid conversation with Tellychakkar, the artist reveals that over the years the dynamics of the showbiz have evolved and so he is all set to reinvent himself for people to not mistake his identity as an obstacle.
 
On the work front, Palash Dutta has done supporting roles in movies including Mohabbatein, Dhoom, Grand Masti and he also played a pivotal role in Sujoy Ghosh’s Typewriter on Netflix. He continues to cast for advertisements and web series for Alt Balaji and Amazon Prime and he remains determined to work towards living his dream of being a successful actor someday.
