MUMBAI : A new show titled Jagriti Ek Nayi Subah is set to premiere soon on Zee TV. The show addresses serious issues like discrimination. Arya Babbar is making his return to television after eight years, playing the role of Kalikant Thakur.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Arya to know more about his comeback and his character in the show. In an exclusive interview, he mentioned, “After a long time I am coming on Indian television and I am very excited.

I never planned this role particularly as my comeback as I have been doing quite some varied things where I have gained immense popularity. I just wished to do something which was very different and unique. I have been a part of many films where I was paid extremely well but I did not have creative satisfaction.”
He further added, “But when I got this role, I was extremely happy. I wanted to do something where I can show my talent and creative side. Another thing is that a lot of years go into honing your skills and after a long time, I think I have got an opportunity to play this role probably because I think that I am ready to pull off something which proves my talent and art.”
