She overcame stiff competition from 10 other singing superstars and walked away with the title of the best live performer, honours done by Bollywood queen Rani Mukherjee. "I'm filled with immense pleasure after winning this trophy. This was the sweet fruit of my karma and I'm really thankful to everyone," says an obviously-excited Jaspinder. How would you like to celebrate your victory? "Firstly I'll visit the temple and thank the Almighty. Secondly, I would complete all the works that I wanted to," she avers. After the win who was the first person you spoke to? "Well, I called my parents but couldn't speak much to my dad. I think they must be the happiest of all as this year I completed my doctorate and have also triumphed as the best live performer. In my 34 years of journey this was my biggest achievement," she states. The winning moment made Jaspinder so emotional that she broke down on the stage itself and requested the press to wait for 10 minutes so that she can have a word with her parents. The other two finale contenders, Devang Patel and Richa Sharma were equally happy with the results. "Winning and losing is part of the game. For me it was much more than enough to win the hearts of audience. I've received lots of love from them," says Richa. "We all are established singers and there are no harsh emotions of me losing or Jaspinder winning. At this stage we all should be having a sporting spirit. I'm equally happy for all three of us," she adds. As for Jaspinder….the party has already begun!
