Just In: Kutty Padmini's 'Krishnadasi' to be remade in Hindi for Colors

Kutty Padmini

South Indian actress turned Producer / Director Kutty Padmini’s Vaishnavi Films Enterprises will now be foraying into Hindi GEC space for the very first time…

For the uninitiated, Padmini has been acting from the age of three as a child artiste in movies down South. The Nenjam Marappadillai and Kuzhandaiyum Deyvamum star, Padmini will now produce a fiction show for Colors.

Yes, you heard it right!! And she will be coming up with the remake of her own hit show in Tamil, titled Krishnadasi which saw a successful run on Sun TV in the year 2000. Krishnadasi was produced and directed by Padmini and her husband Prabhu Nepal.

Another exclusive news coming to us is that Padmini’s Vaishnavi Films will co-produce this huge show along with Optimystix Productions for Colors.

Krishnadasi, the Tamil show revolved around the feuds between a Devadasi family and an orthodox family. The show in Tamil was based on a novel by Indra Soundar Rajan. The story revolved around the undying love of a girl who sacrificed her whole life to the man she loved, even without getting into a marital bond with him.

A credible source tells us that with Colors sanctioning this mighty project, Optimystix and Vaishnavi Films are now working on the scripts and casting for the show. This will be a huge show for Colors in the year 2016.

We tried getting a confirmation on this from Producer Vipul D. Shah of Optimystix, but did not get any revert from him.

We also buzzed the channel spokesperson but failed to get any response…

Watch for this magnum opus show on Colors in the New Year…
