Jyoti Makker talks about her fairytale wedding

Jyoti Makker, of Betiyaan … Apni Yaa Paraaya Dhan fame, is one of those lucky few who get a dream wedding. The actress recently (16 January 2013) tied the knot with actor Ajay Chaudhary. It was on this day that her dream did come true. Her brother Jeetu Makker, not just treated her to a big fat Indian wedding, but also arranged a beautiful white (catholic) wedding, as an overjoyed Jyoti tells us, “He made me feel like a princess throughout my wedding. We had our traditional wedding at the ITC and a white wedding at Holy Eternity, Powai. Throughout my life, my family made me feel special, but my shaadi was beyond my expectation and imagination.” Ask her how does it feel to be married and she promptly replies, “The very moment I was married to Ajay, I went into depression as I realised that I was going to leave my home and that I wasn’t going to stay with my family anymore. That was beyond my belief. But then, Ajay has been very co-operative. He shifted to Powai from Andheri simply for me (Jyoti’s family stays in Powai) so that I feel at home. Trust me, marrying Ajay has been the best decision of my life.” However the irony is that Jyoti is still staying with her mother, as she quips, “Ajay is currently working on the interiors of our house in Powai so I will be shifting there only once that is done.” Lastly, talking about the best gift that she has received from her hubby, she states, “It’s a solitaire worth nine lakhs.” Jyoti is definitely one lucky girl!!!
