MUMBAI: After making a comeback on Star Plus after more than a decade, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is set for an exciting twist. Ektaa Kapoor and Balaji Telefilms are now planning to intertwine the show with another beloved classic, Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki. Fans can look forward to the return of Sakshi Tanwar and Kiran Karmarkar, reprising their iconic roles as Parvati and Om, marking a nostalgic reunion on the small screen.
In an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, Kiran Karmarkar who played the character of Om Agarwal in Star Plus show Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii spoke about his guest appearance in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, reuniting with Smriti Irani, Sakshi Tanwar and more.

Talking about his guest appearance in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, Kiran said, "So, Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki is completing 25 years, and Ektaa Kapoor wanted to have a special integration with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. It will be a guest appearance. We were asked to shoot for two days. I have already shot for a day, and it was fun reconnecting with Smriti, Sakshi, and others."
When asked if it felt nostalgic working with Sakshi and the rest of the team, Kiran said, "Of course it was nostalgic. It was such a big show. It has given me name, fame, and recognition. These shows have played a huge role in changing the face of television. When I got the call, I thought, 'It's nice, let's do it.'"
Talking about reuniting with Sakshi Tanwar, he added, "Well, it's not like we never met after Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki. However, it was nostalgic to shoot in front of the camera with her. I have also done a show with Smriti, and of course, I worked with Sakshi for a long time. When we met, we were just chatting. It's great to reconnect with old colleagues."
