MUMBAI: Mythological show Kahat Hanuman Jai Shri Ram, featuring Ekagra Dwivedi (as Lord Hanuman), Sneha Wagh (as Maata Anjana) and Jiten Lalwani (as King Kesari), is all set to wrap up apparently owing to poor ratings.
The show was launched on 7th January and it’s last episode will be telecast on 9th October. The cast completed the shoot yesterday.
Surprisingly, the makers had roped in Seema Purohit to play Mandodari just around 10 days ago.
Sneha confirms, “Yes, we have wrapped up the shoot and the show will come to an end on October 9. It’s the channel’s decision and we abide by it.”

Actor Romanch Mehta, who joined the show in August, adds; “Every show comes to an end and every end marks a new beginning. My journey on ‘Kahat Hanuman Jai Shri Ram’ was short, but sweet. I am grateful to have got an opportunity to play a completely different character (Mareech), and am now looking forward to embarking on a new journey with a new project.”
The show was also in the news after Akangsha Rawat’s (who played the former Goddess Parvati, exit from the show for the pandemic, followed by actress Vidisha Srivastava stepping into her shoes to essay the role.
Earlier, Akangsha had revealed, “The producers wanted to begin the shoot immediately, but my dad was worried about me resuming work and risking my health. He insisted on leaving our home in Uttarakhand and staying with me in Mumbai, just to ensure that I am safe. However, I couldn’t have put his life at risk, as he is very old. We have only each other and so, I decided to take a two-month break from work till the situation returns to normalcy. I am glad that the production house understood my predicament.”
