MUMBAI: Actor Kanwar Dhillon, who plays the lead character in the show Udne Ki Aasha, says that while the show had a rocky start, it soon topped the TRP charts. The actor adds that while this is a great feeling, it is also a great responsibility.
“It feels amazing, right from the start, to have always believed in Udne Ki Aasha and Sachin Deshmukh. I knew the show might start slow, as we launched amidst cricket season with the IPL and World Cup dominating viewership for three months. Even so, we consistently stayed in the top five, but of course, who wouldn’t want their show to climb higher in numbers and ranks?”
He hopes that they continue to grow. “As a team, we were thrilled when the ratings improved post-cricket season, and everything started going up. Competing at the top of the charts is a different feeling but a huge responsibility because we need to maintain that position and take care of every detail. The entire team is doing a fantastic job, and we are committed to rising even higher and delivering pure entertainment to our audience. I’m truly happy about the success of Udne Ki Aasha. Personally, it was crucial for me that the show succeeds because I believed in its unique story and concept. I can confidently say that Udnegi Asha is my best work to date. Until now, I considered Pandya Store my best, but in just seven to eight months of shooting this show, I can say that Udne Ki Aasha has surpassed it. I’m really happy and hopeful that we continue to grow and soar even higher with time,” he says.
