Karnvir Bohra, Sriti Jha in UTV's next for Star One

It seems like Star One is all geared up to throw in some interesting shows after its revamp. The latest buzz is that after Dor on Star Plus, UTV is all set to launch a new show on Star One. The show is tentatively tilted Amar Prem and Karnvir Bohra who played Prem in Kasautii Zindagii Kay has been roped in to the play the male lead. Furthermore, Sriti Jha who was seen in Jiya Jale will play the female lead. Our source informs, “After shelving the decision to remake Meti Oli on Sony, UTV is now coming up with a new show for Star One. The show is tentatively titled Amar Prem and it’s a story about a middle-class girl and a rich boy played by Sriti Jha and Karnvir Bohra respectively. They both will eventually get married in the show. However, after their marriage it will be revealed that the boy suffers from mental instability and will assault his wife. Nayan Bhatt who was seen in Rang Badalti Odhani has been finalised to play the character of Sriti’s grandmother. Furthermore, it is also said that Surbhi Tiwari who is currently seen in Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum was initially finalised to play the role of Sriti’s mother but was later replaced as the channel thought that she was too young to play the role of a mother.” When contacted Sriti Jha said, "I have auditioned for the role but nothing has been finalised yet." We also spoke to Nayan Bhatt who said, “Yes I have shot for the pilot episode but I have no clue when the show will go on air.”
