Kinshuk Mahajan to have a big fat Punjabi wedding

Kinshuk Mahajan who was last seen in Star Plus’ Chand Chupa Badal Mein was reported of being in love with his childhood friend Divya Gupta. And now the latest news is that the actor is getting married to Divya on 12 November. The couple met each other in their tuition class while they were in eleventh standard. However, Kinshuk soon moved to Mumbai to become an actor after completing his studies, but their love stayed strong. And the moment he bagged a role in Star Plus’ Bidaai, he broke this news to both the families. The couple got engaged a year back and will be getting married now. Kinshuk is currently busy shooting for his upcoming show Afsar Bitiya on Zee, but he will be soon taking a marriage break, which will take place in Delhi as both Kinshuk and Divya’s families are in Delhi. The actor will have a traditional Punjabi wedding and it will be spread over a five day function starting from 8 November. Day one will have sai sandhya after followed by the mehendi function. On the second day, the shagun ceremony will take place where the girl’s side will go to the boy’s side to give gifts. The next day is the sangeet, in which both girl and the boy’s side will participate equally. The actor plans to throw a cocktail party for friends and relatives on 11 November. 12 November will be the D-day for the couple and will start early morning with various functions and will finally end with the pheras. The couple has already purchased their attires. The entire wedding preparations and planning is being done by Kinshuk’s father. Kinshuk confirmed the same and told us, “My family has been joking about this for quite some time. They have asked me to come like a relative get married and go back, as I will be heading to Mumbai soon after my marriage.” Since Kinshuk has taken up a new show, he won’t be going for a honeymoon any time soon. However he has planned to take Divya to Shirdi as soon as he gets some time out of his busy schedule. Divya, who was a teacher in Delhi, has quit her job and will be moving to Mumbai with Kinshuk soon after their marriage. “She will be moving in with me and she is free to do whatever she wants to once she is here,” ends Kinshuk.
